Shipping & Return Policy

Shipping Policy

Fresno Community College is proud to offer you the most competitive shipping rates. All of our shipments are professionally packed to ensure the safety of your items in route.

On average, your order will be received in 5 - 7 working days. During January or August, delivery time may take longer.

Return Policy

We are confident that you will enjoy our products. So confident that if you are not completely satisfied, you may return items purchased within the time specified in the return policy included with your textbooks. All items must be returned in the original condition.

  • CDs and DVDs must be unopened, still in the shrink-wrap or original protective packaging.
  • New books must include all software with unopened packages as well as all intact Web codes; Still in shrink-wrapping or original protective packaging.
  • Used books must not include any additional highlighting, writing, drawings etc.
  • Packing list and completed returns form must be included with each return.

Include the packing slip and receipt (receipt can be reprinted on the order history page) with your return. Repackage your item(s) in the original packaging or in an appropriate cardboard box. Using packing material (e.g. Styrofoam peanuts, bubble wrap, etc) around your item(s), pack and tape your package securely. Select a carrier that offers you the option to insure and track your package. UPS, FedEx, and USPS all offer this option. Insuring and tracking your package protects you as the shipper and helps ensure your shipment goes to the correct destination in the same condition it was as when you sent it. Write down your tracking number and keep it until has refunded your money.

Bookstore may deny access to the Site to you and anyone claiming by or through you without liability to anyone. Bookstore shall have all additional rights and remedies at law and in equity arising from such violation. Further, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold Bookstore, and its affiliates, suppliers, employees and agents harmless from all claims, actions, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including attorneys fees) arising out of or relating to any such prohibited use of the Site. If you violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party, they have all remedies at law and in equity to enforce their rights against you to the extent applicable arising from your actions.

Any delay or failure to act with respect to a breach of this Agreement by you or others does not constitute a waiver and shall not limit such rights with respect to such breach or any subsequent breaches. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State in which Bookstore resides. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the remainder of this Agreement, which shall be given full effect without regard to the invalid portions.
  7. This Agreement represents the entire agreement between you and Bookstore regarding the use of the Site.

Refund Policy

  1. Students must present their current cash register receipt with the correct dollar amount of the merchandise during the stated refund period. No refund will be given without the original receipt and Photo ID. Students have 5 working days (summer and short term classes may be different) from the date on the receipt to return textbooks/e-texts and 30 days for non-textbook items.
  2. All sales are final on scantrons, tradebooks/novels, study aides and various electronics and software (if opened).
  3. A full refund is given when a class has been cancelled by the College and textbook(s) are in the same conditions as initially bought. In all other cases, there is a 10% handling/restocking charge.
  4. Refunds will be issued in the same manner as paid (if paid with a credit/debit card – refund will be made back to credit/debit card)
  5. Textbook condition: New textbooks must be in new condition. It must be clean, free of all marks and erasures. Soiled, creased or marked books will be considered a “used” book and may be refunded at the used price. Wrapped, loose-leaf textbooks, e-books, books with exposed or open access codes or boxed merchandise are non-refundable once opened. Used textbooks are sold “as is.” Because these books have been used by other customers prior to sale, the Bookstore cannot guarantee the life expectancy of any used books. Used textbooks must be returned in salable condition. Any books damaged by liquids are not returnable.
  6. Access codes are non-returnable if opened or if codes are exposed.
  7. No refunds on textbooks will be given during the last four weeks of instruction of any term.
  8. In all cases bookstore reserves the right to make the decision on the condition or salability of the merchandise.
For textbook rental return information, refer to your rental agreement.
Keep your receipt for returns

The bookstore accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express and debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo on it. Personal checks are not accepted.

TEXTBOOK BUY- BACK POLICY

Textbooks can be bought back year round at the Fresno City College Bookstore. Prices will vary according to the time of semester and the demand for the book. Textbooks must be in good resalable condition.

Old editions and books in poor condition have no value. The Bookstore will accept these textbooks as donations for developing countries.

CHANGE OF TITLES

Change to new textbooks is made by the instructors.

Change in edition is made by the publishers.

The College Bookstore has no control over the textbooks selected by the instructors nor the edition changes made by the publisher
